The Making Process of Birthday Present

As requested by Evelyn, I made a pot of origami roses for her. Not as easy as I thought as I had to think of the design, colour, arrangement........etc. Most importantly is the amount of efforts and hard works that required to do the roses.

The process of making:

1. Raw materials before I started the hard works.

2. Half way done. All the folding parts are done.

3. Finally DONE!!!!! Most of the things are made from paper.

4. Top view of the 5 roses. Look real???

I need to send this pot of roses to Australia as my friend is studying there. Another headache for me as it is difficult to find a box that is big enough to contain the roses without damaging it.

5. Need to bubble-wrap as to protect it from damages.
6. Last step is to put it in the box and post it out.
The funny thing is that the fee to post the present is more than the cost of making the roses. Haha.

My friend took quite some time to receive it because she miss the notices that ask her to collect from the post office until the final notice. We were so panicked before she received. So afraid that the mail was lost. Luckily it was not and she love her present. Worth for the efforts and time that I spent  p(^o^)q

Origami Flower Ball

I had just completed this origami flower ball today and I really LOVE it.

Look very sweet and pretty as I used lots of different colour paper to do the flower.

I think it is most suitable for wedding theme.

Spend like 2 days to complete this flower ball as it need 12 individuals paper flowers to complete a ball.

Quite tired after completing but everything is worth it when I see the final product.

This is how the origami flower look like before it is combined into a ball.

Origami flower in a row.

Origami ball hanging in the air.

I decide to add in ribbon before i finally combined everything. The effect of the ribbon turn out to be good. Make the flower ball even sweeter.

I will like to try making traditional Japaneses origami flower ball next time when I find the time.

And also some other kind of flowers.

Origami Roses

Paper roses is the 1st origami that I had learned.

Really enjoy folding and felt so satisfied after completing the final product.

I am happy whenever I saw improvement in the paper roses that I made- from the starting till now.

Hope that more people will enjoy and like origami.

A fun activity to try.

The 1st origami rose that I had done. Can't wait to try folding after seeing the origami tutorial from youtube. Thus, I did it in white paper cos I dun have any colour paper at hm

This is the improved version of the origami rose. I try to use wire as the stem as it provide better support for the rose. I had chosen my favourite colour--- PINK to make this rose.

This this my 2nd time trying to make the origami rose after I brought the colour paper. The stem and leave are also made from paper but paper stem is abit too weak to hold the rose.
